I use to use the running gels (Gu) for my long runs, but I found these at a running expo and have ordered these ever since. They taste like gummy candy, but give you the energy burst that other energy supplements provide. They don't melt in your pocket, easy to carry (AND OPEN!!). The Gu gels left a bad taste in my mouth and some times were hard to eat with out water. Again, these taste great (a treat on those hour plus runs) and are so easy to eat while working out. I like the box they come in, makes storing them in the pantry easy without taking up any extra space.

These are a new favorite among my run group, which is mostly male. Although they market to female athletes, everyone loves them. The only down side is price -- high for the quantity. I love the extra chewy consistency and the pomegranate flavor is mild and easy on the stomach.
